I learned this tip from @biceps.after.babies way back when I started counting macros and it's a game-changer. 👊🏻 Making a single meal just for yourself is one thing, but what about when you're making a big batch of something, like cookies or trying to calculate your serving of a random scoop of a casserole? It's nearly impossible to make just your serving separately so you can count the macros exactly. So here's the trick: 1️⃣ go to create a recipe in @myfitnesspal and enter the ingredients for the *entire* recipe. 2️⃣ you need to weigh the entire recipe. You'll notice in my photo that is an entire batch of no-bake chocolate cookies and I'm not counting the bowl weight so I can see that the entire batch of food weighs 849 grams. 3️⃣THIS number is what you will enter for the "number of servings" in your recipe creation on MFP. (swipe to see the second photo, you'll notice it says this recipe makes 849 servings.) this now gives you all the macros for each GRAM of this recipe. 4️⃣ when you go to track your food, you can take however much you want. In my example swipe again to see the last photo and you will see I weighed one cookie and found that it weighed 20 g. So when I enter my personal portion in MFP I enter 20 "servings" and ta-da. Perfectly accurate nutritional information for whatever size cookie I happen to eat. (for the sake of example, let's just pretend that I only ate one, 20 g cookie 🤣) ➡️ can you see how this would work with something like chocolate chip cookies as well? Just weigh your dough ball before baking and there you have it. Same goes for scooping a casserole or a piece of cake. (if you are going to be baking in the same pan you are weighing, cake for example, just make sure to weigh your baking dish ahead of time so you can subtract that after baking). This way you can just cut a piece of cake, however much you want, and you'll know exactly what you're eating when you weigh it. 🙌🏻

Lol) cottage cheese and a protein bar. My eating habits have changed a lot of the last couple of years. I used to think one rice cake had "too many carbs" 😳😳 I was ridiculously restrictive. Anyways, now I literally have no food restrictions or rules. I'm in tune with my eating and I eat whatever the F I want, literally. Although the majority of my meals are nutritious, I love my foods that aren't so nutritious. This works for me and I love it, plus it's been so maintainable. I don't believe in diets, or restrictive eating. So, please start to eat well.•Just like you take care of your face by doing a skincare routine or makeup from the outside, the inside is way more important to be nourished FIRST. Take time to go for grocery shopping, cook your own meal, make healthy choices when you eat out, and balance everything jn between with a regular exercise.
