gailsnutrition photos downloadQuick break from packing... made a version of @health_by_orla protein balls, just made a few changes to use up things I have in the press before we move.. .5 tbsp oats1 tbsp brown rice syrup5 medjool dates (soak for 30mins)2 scoops @nuzest choc pea protein powder1 1/2 tbsp cacao powder1 heaped tbsp almond butter 2 heaped tbsp cashew butter 30-60ml water (add little by little)70g chopped roasted hazelnuts (40g ish for the mix and 30g ish for rolling).Blend everything in the food processor, adding a little water to help bind it all together. You might find you need less water or none at all if your nut butters are nice and oily 👌🏻 mine were gone a little dry! .1 tbsp of the mix will give you the size for a ball - then roll in chopped hazelnuts and refrigerate..I use tescos little bags of chopped and roasted hazelnuts. I added the brown rice syrup for a little extra sweetness for cayla 👍🏻enjoy!! And thanks again @health_by_orla for the Inspo, great idea 😋🙌🏻.Nettle tea = blood tonic, antihistamine (my eyes are itching from dust!!) and great for clearing uric acid levels in those with gout 👍🏻

When I found this just couldn't get over it, all the time I was dreaming about this heavenly all chocolate cake I made for Hubby's birthday in April. 😍Tried to make this cake a bit healthier way. I worked a lot with this 🎂 I put my whole heart in it. 😊 I did many research and even did a test bake. Just one layer but I wanted to see how it will works what I imagined... Reduced the sugar, used erythritol as substitute, used half coconut oil half butter, and I used high quality 81% and 90% 🍫. Mixed various flours like coconut, oat and whole wheat flour. I think it turned out great! 😍 I remember Hubby loved it so much. Especially if you are on a "restricted" diet (altough i don't like to a call a diet which is full of nutrients and cuts out harmful food groups "restrictive") it is likely to get cravings. To keep my skin clear it is for example needed to stay away from sugar. So usualy i would avoid bananas, chocolate or a lot of starchy veggies. The thing is, these foods contain extremely important nutrients as well (like lots of antioxidants, potassium, manganese, vitamin A, B, C, folate etc.), even if they are not supposed to promote a acne free skin in the first place..Our bodies are very smart in regulating themselves and giving us signals, what we need to eat. So i truly believe it is one of the most important skills to LISTEN to what your body tells you to do and not to get afraid of certain foods. I craved for chocolate, bananas and pumpkin in the last few days – so i ate some high quality, raw cacao chocolate, a banana in my chiapudding and pumpkin for dinner. So what? I'm going trough some pretty intense work these days, so this is probably what my body needs right now..The same happened to me when i tried to eat high fat and verly low carb. I had zero appetite to eat more fats and craved carbs instead. So i kept my healthy fat intake very high and reintroduced some high quality carb sources in moderation (legumes/starchy veggies/fruit) and tahdaa – feeling much better, my bloodsugar & skin is still great (or even better). Our bodies are SO complex, we can not understand everything and control it with our minds, even if we know a lot about nutricion. So listen to your bodies and give them what you need. If you crave for unhealthy foods, this is usualy a sign you are not getting enough calories. The thing is, these foods contain extremely important nutrients as well (like lots of antioxidants, potassium, manganese, vitamin A, B, C, folate etc.), even if they are not supposed to promote a acne free skin in the first place..Our bodies are very smart in regulating themselves and giving us signals, what we need to eat. So i truly believe it is one of the most important skills to LISTEN to what your body tells you to do and not to get afraid of certain foods. I craved for chocolate, bananas and pumpkin in the last few days – so i ate some high quality, raw cacao chocolate, a banana in my chiapudding and pumpkin for dinner. So what? I'm going trough some pretty intense work these days, so this is probably what my body needs right now..The same happened to me when i tried to eat high fat and verly low carb. I had zero appetite to eat more fats and craved carbs instead. So i kept my healthy fat intake very high and reintroduced some high quality carb sources in moderation (legumes/starchy veggies/fruit) and tahdaa – feeling much better, my bloodsugar & skin is still great (or even better). Our bodies are SO complex, we can not understand everything and control it with our minds, even if we know a lot about nutricion. So listen to your bodies and give them what you need. If you crave for unhealthy foods, this is usualy a sign you are not getting enough calories.
